Charism & Spirituality

Our Charism and Motto

In a nutshell our charism consists in witnessing the Love and Compassion of the Father.

Our Patroness

Witnessing the Love and Compassion of the Father, revealed

The Cross is the emblem of our Congregation and the motto “Who can separate us from the Love of Christ?” constitutes the pivot and support of our spirituality.

Blessed Virgin Mary - Patroness of SCSM

Blessed Virgin Mary — Mother of Charity

Under the maternal guidance and protection of Blessed Virgin Mary, our Congregation strives to be a living sign of God's compassionate love to all.

Spiritual legacy

Five elements of the Foundress's inspiration

In the life, charismatic inspiration and spiritual legacy of the Foundress, we can single out 5 elements:

  • Passion for the Crucified Lord;
  • Love for the Eucharistic Lord;
  • Trust in Mary, deeply felt as the protector and support of all her charitable works;
  • Service of charity, lived in humility and simplicity for God’s greater glory;
  • Ardent missionary zeal, accomplished as a love answer to Christ’s Love.

Identity

Aspects that characterize the identity of the Congregation

Love for the Crucified Christ

that opens us to love our neighbours and the Holy Church.

Eucharist lived as a school

where we learn, humility, silence, availability towards all and always, and the generosity of the gift of ourselves to others

Devotion to Mary

from whom we learn the thoughtfulness of love as shown at the Visitation

Service and closeness to the people

characterized by the virtues of humility – simplicity – charity so that those who come into contact with us may experience that we are truly “sisters”

Missionary spirit

feeling the sense of mission wherever we are.
